I did a series of five paintings inspired by a 1928 book on swimming instruction. It was filled with photos, which out of context were entirely creepy. The male instructor is very hands-on with his female model yet his face never appears. Mostly you see his legs and crotch. I decided that out of the context of learning to swim the photos had a very different tone. The text is also from the book, again used out of context.
