Clyde Coopers on East Davie Street is a local landmark and prized eatery. Mr. Cooper bought it in 1939 and began serving what some say is still the best eastern style bbq in nc at the best price. Today it is a relic in the huge shadows of the tall buildings around it but always filled with good smells and customers.
